动画、实验影像与灵魂学
Animation, Experimental Cinema and Parapsychology

A meditation on what makes the soul visible.

Animation and experimental cinema, through their liberated grammars—collage, rephotography, hand-drawing, or AI generation—seek to capture ineffable spiritual visions: fragments of memory, whispers of dreams, echoes of myth, and the subtle tremors within the body.

The screen is not a window onto reality, but a prism reflecting the inner world. Ghost Algebra employs the “science of restoring what is missing” through collage to examine the fragility and ephemerality of the body; The Time Boat weaves grand historical trauma into a tapestry of personal migratory memory; Edge of Alchemy‎ situates silent-era stars within a surreal narrative, while Pacific Vein uses artificial intelligence to let sublime landscapes quietly dissolve the American dream.

Moving between bone and earth, individual and collective, craft and digital code—whether in the recursive dream labyrinth of Dream Enclosure or the everyday poetics borne by Brouillard: Passage #14—these works attempt to translate the invisible inner world into a perceptible flow of images. When the logic of reality falters, the “algebra” of animation and experimental film brings us infinitely close to that unseen yet tangible presence itself—where, in the faint glow of the screen, we encounter the drifting fragments of the soul.
